Hawan is a sacred ritual which is performed by Pandit in temples, homes
and working place by involving the sacred fire that bares witness to the ceremony,
and we pay our respects to Agni God because in Hinduism, Hawan fire is the representation of
sun’s energy, that made every other creation on earth possible whether it be crops, water, right
temperature for sustaining life on planet earth. As per Hindu texts, any offering made to the Agni
is actually an offering to the Sun. While reciting Sanskrit Mantras by pandit that were
defined in the Hindu Culture in the oldest relics known as the Vedas, we offer dry fruits,
honey, fruits, ghee, rice etc. to pay our respects to the Sun.
